journey group

Journey Groups are small groups of approximately six couples, or four to twelve individuals. They are for all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

From this passage, we find the following things to be essentials of group life:

getting together

...weekly, or twice-a-month, for sometimes as long as 12-18 months... in homes, restaurants, or coffee shops... sometimes enjoying a meal or refreshments together... for building relationships, discussing God's Word and praying with one another.

encouraging one another

...through words of kindness and affirmation... as we wrestle through difficult issues in life... through loving accountability... towards genuine and lasting spiritual growth.

acting in love

...while caring for one another through life transitions... caring for one another through life crises... serving together... engaging the mission... together.

Group Types:

Married Groups:

We believe married people will get the most out of a group when they are grouped with others who are married. So we've designated groups specifically for those who are in this stage of life. Even if you know you'll be attending your group without your spouse, we recommend you join a married group. We tend to form groups for those who are married with children, and those who are married without children.

SOLO Groups
(single/single again and over 30):

SOLO groups are groups for those who are single, or single again, and over 30.

Threefold Groups
(young adults in their 20's and 30's):

Threefold groups are groups of young adults in their 20's and 30's who are pursuing life together as they experience the body of Christ.

Men Only Groups:
These are groups of men who meet together for sharpening one another through deeper study of God's Word. Men in these groups may be married or single.

Women Only Groups:
These are groups of women who meet together for Bible study and fellowship. Women in these groups may be married or single.
