If you’re interested in volunteering in Care Ministries, please check out the possible opportunities to serve that have been provided below. Keep in mind that there are some areas of care that may not provide volunteer opportunities, and others may require specific training before a volunteer can become involved.
Congregational Care Opportunities:
Prayer Partner
Faithfully pray for the Pathway body by joining other prayer partners who pray before and during weekend worship services, with individuals who request prayer after the weekend worship services, and for requests received on the Prayer Chain.

Hospital Visitation Team Member
Visiting and praying for those in the hospital due to illness, surgery and/or the birth of a baby.

Marriage and Family Opportunities:
Premarital Mentor
Spiritually
mature married couples willing to be trained in Pathway’s pre-marriage
mentoring materials and to meet with and mentor premarital couples.

Godly married couples within PCC willing to share insight, experience, encouragement and support to help other married couples build and strengthen their marriage.

Dynamic Marriage Facilitator
Couples willing to be trained in the Dynamic Marriage curriculum/program who will facilitate the Dynamic Marriage class for couples.

Assist in developing and planning marriage building events, classes, retreats, date nights, conferences, etc.

Support Care & Encouragement Ministry Opportunities:
Financial Coach
Assist individuals who desire to take a proactive approach to managing their finances, who are facing financial hardships, or who are dealing with unique financial circumstances.

Employment Coach
Assist individuals facing financial hardships or unique circumstances with updating resumes, job searches, job search transportation arrangements, and assist with finding worthwhile resources that can assist them in their current situation.

Meals Ministry
Help to make and deliver food to families within the church in times of hospitalization, illness or bereavement.

Bring the Love/Abundance Leadership Team
Assist in planning and organizing this quarterly event to provide food for the PCC Body and to consider ways to intentionally encourage the recipients of BTL/Abundance.

Bring the Love/Abundance - Recipient Hospitality/Hostess
Serve as a hostess, offering familiarity and helping to provide an environment of hospitality towards the recipients of the Bring the Love/Abundance program (quarterly).

Bring the Love/Abundance - Resource Coordinator
Provide leadership in gathering information on resources that could benefit recipients, be available at the quarterly events to answer questions and help guide recipients through applicable community and/or church resources that could benefit them.
Also, gather funding from community/governmental resources through grants, etc. in order to provide special events (meals, etc.) and opportunities for the recipients of BTL/Abundance.

Care Event Kiosk Hosts
Individual who would be available to host a kiosk on behalf of Care Ministries or a Care Ministry event to answer questions, distribute information/tickets, etc. at a service when needed.

Giving Tree
Individual who would be willing to assist in the planning of the Giving Tree event, assist in the organization and collection of suggested recipients for the Giving Tree, help to record/organize gifts that are collected and when necessary, assist in delivering the gifts to the appropriate recipient.

Card Ministry

Home Repair Ministry
Individual who is willing to serve in an area of expertise (plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, etc) to assist individuals within the PCC family with home repair needs who are elderly, financially struggling or facing unique circumstances.

Support Mentor
Support and come alongside of individuals who are going through a variety of difficult life circumstances (divorce, loss of loved ones, miscarriages, infertility, job loss, etc.) that you also have experienced and endured in your own life.

Support Group Facilitator
Individual willing to be trained in the appropriate program material and help lead/facilitate or assist in leading/facilitating a support group (some additional requirements may exist for specific support groups – see below).

GriefShare – This support group is led by individuals who understand the process of grief, having experienced it themselves. Facilitators are needed who would be willing to come alongside of individuals, offering support and encouragement through this program.
DivorceCare – This group meets weekly for 13 weeks and is led by individuals who understand the process of divorce, having experienced it themselves. Facilitators are needed who would be willing to come alongside of individuals, offering support and encouragement through this program.
DivorceCare4Kids – This group meets weekly for 13 weeks and is led by individuals who understand the process of divorce, having experienced it themselves. Facilitators are needed who would be willing to come alongside of children (ages 5-12), offering support and encouragement through this program.
