MAN TO MAN MENTORING
Men, Pathway has launched a men’s mentoring program
that can provide both an opportunity to serve and be served. As a
mentee, you will have an opportunity to learn from another man’s life
experience. As a mentor, you will have the privilege to share your
life experience by investing one on one in someone else. Mentors and
Mentees will be paired based on information obtained on the Mentoring
Profile so that relationships can capitalize on mutual experience and
interests.
For those wishing to be mentored, this program provides
you with the opportunity to be paired up with an older man who has
already walked the path you are on. You will be able to learn from
them about how they handled issues similar to those you are facing in
your own life. Your mentor is not a perfect person, but rather one who
has a desire to invest in others and share honestly about their life –
what worked well and what they could have done differently.
For those wanting to be considered as a mentor some of
the key requirements are openness, honesty, a committed and growing
relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to serve God by serving
others. You don’t need to be a theologian or have all the answers to
life. You just need a desire to use your life experience to help
others and to encourage others who are now walking where you have
already walked. We will have resources to assist you if you desire that
type of assistance.
